Knowledge Is Power

WICP100 preserves history by making it accessible — through oral histories, archival records, and educational programs that inspire the next generation of leaders.

Our Educational Mission

Empowering Women Through Preserved History

We preserve history by creating an oral history and archive through video recordings of elected women telling their stories in their own words. One of our core goals is to dispel myths that surround politics — and by doing so, encourage more women and community members to engage in public service.

These videos serve as a valuable resource for women’s studies programs, public policy courses, and political science classes — capturing the personality, enthusiasm, passion, and commitment of the women who blazed new trails in California government.
